At 4pm on the Friday before a holiday weekend while I was on my way out of town for a camping trip, a horrible screeching noise started coming from one of my wheels. It sounded like a rock was stuck up against the brake rotor. I got off the freeway as soon as possible and pulled into the local Les Schwab who are generally my preferred wheel-related servicers. They informed me that it would be at least a 2 hour wait before they could look at my car. So I called Meineke - they warned me that if the repair went beyond 5pm they would have to keep it overnight but they could at least get me in right away to begin looking for the problem. I limped my car over to them and they got me in right away, diagnosed the issue immediately (a rock stuck in the brake caliper), removed it and got me on my way in under an hour. They pointed out that my engine air filter needed to be replaced but said it was not necessary for any immediate safety reasons. I appreciate a repair shop stating that explicitly rather than trying to manipulate or be subversive in order to up-charge you. Over all it was a great experience and they really saved us!
