The staff helped me with paying for my repairs, and they even stayed late, so I wouldn’t have to come back another day! They were very open and honest about my car situation. Rodney Pressley,I took my BMW X3 in for a State Inspection service. I had never used anyone other than the BMW dealership in Newport News. So this was my 1st experience with Meineke. I arrived 30 minutes before opening and utilized the Early Bird drop. I simply filled out some info on a prepared envelope (that they provide) and placed my FOB inside and dropped it into the secured box. Around 1:30pm I called to check on the status of my vehicle. I spoke with Skyler, and apparently they had not checked the Early Bird box yet? Obviously, I was upset and communicated this to Skyler. Usually I would see this as a red flag, and most likely never use Meineke again. However, I really want to share why I WILL continue to use Meineke. Skyler was extremely apologetic, and gave me a detailed account of how this happened. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and took accountability for this oversight. He assured me that it is not a common occurrence as they were extremely backed up on that day. I probably should have called the day before to see how long this process would take. You know what they say about assumptions, right? I assumed if I dropped my FOB before opening that my car would be done and ready for pickup before lunch. Skyler assured me that my vehicle would be completed and ready for pickup first thing the next morning. While this is not an ideal time-line for a simple State Inspection, I understood and asked Skyler how much I owed. He promptly stated that this was his fault and he would "eat" the fee. I was very impressed by this young man. If he is not the manager, he absolutely should be! Not only did he complete my vehicle as promised, he was able to prove to me that this Meineke cares about its customers. I will absolutely be returning for services here and will recommend this location to friends. Kudos to Skyler and the team as 2nd Street Meineke!
