I came in with an exhaust pipe that had a failed gasket making the car sound like a beater. I had taken it to another shop which recommended replacing both exhaust systems (8 cyl Dodge Charger) to the tune of $4,500. I asked if they could make any more reasonable repairs to which they insisted that the best option was to replace the entire exhaust system. I said that that sounded like someone having a flat tire and the recommendation was to replace the car! I had no intention of spending $4,500 on a car with107k miles. It didn’t need to be replaced, just repaired. I took it to Meineke and asked them to inspect the problem and suggest a solution. About 10 minutes later, they came back with a proposal to cut out the section that had disconnected and weld a solid piece in its place. Cost: $343. Yes! Done deal. It was fixed within the hour and I didn’t even have an appointment. They didn’t try to upsell me anything. Just proposed a much more reasonable solution. I’m glad I checked them out. I’m very happy with the results.

I recently had my van’s AC repaired. The technician did a proper diagnosis and fixed the issue correctly, and the system is now working fine. However, I was very disappointed with the cost. I was charged $1,656, which feels extremely high for replacing a wire and a blower motor. Because of the pricing, I can’t give a full 5-star rating. Good work on the repair, but the pricing definitely needs improvement.
