Auto Repair & Mechanic Shop in Lubbock, TX #1903

Hands down, absolutely THE BEST auto repair/maintenance franchise in the Lubbock area. Honest, fast and reasonable pricing. I typically do my own routine vehicle repairs and maintenance for a couple of reasons: 1) The trustworthy private repair shops in Lubbock are always overbooked and they cannot get to your vehicle for several days, if not a week usually. 2) IMO, nearly all of the franchise repair / maintenance shops in town are un-trustworthy and expensive. In my experience, they always want to pile on a lot of additional maintenance/repair services that are questionable, they are overly expensive, and many times they misdiagnose an issue (inexperienced help). My wife's car started having brake problems while going to work one morning. Unfortunately, she waited until mid-afternoon to call me. I checked them out & the inside of the rear wheel was covered with brake fluid & fluid reservoir nearly dry. I didn't have time to do any repairs that evening, and I told her to call around and see if anyone could handle a brake emergency. I had her call several usual shops, and sure enough they couldn't get to it for days. She really needed the car the next day, so I reluctantly told her to call a few franchise shops to see if anyone could do a last-minute repair. Meineke was the closest, so she called there first thankfully. At 4 pm, she called them and after explaining the situation. They told her if she got the vehicle right over they could probably do the repair yet that day. I was very skeptical. I put some brake fluid in the reservoir and limped it to Meineke. I left the car at Meineke, telling them I thought it was a ruptured brake line near the rear wheel and went back to work. The waiting room and parking lot were full so I had my doubts about their being able to get to it. But they got to work on it immediately, determined one of the steel lines had rusted through. They spliced the line and bled the whole brake system, AND they stayed working until 6:30 to complete it. AND the total repair cost (parts and labor) were less than the 2 hours of labor only that I expected from experience with my favorite private repair shops! The reasonableness of the invoice literally SHOCKED me. It was a last-minute repair job that lasted past business hours, and they did it professionally like we were long-time customers. I expected TWICE the cost. They were ultra friendly to my wife and did not badger her with unnecessary maintenance recommendations. After this experience, I will take my business to Meineke for repairs/maintenance that in the past I have done myself due to mistrust/bad experiences with other repair shops in the area. Our auto repair experience with Meineke in Lubbock is one of the best we have had. EDIT: We recently had a dreaded intake gasket leak in our vehicle. We dropped it off early Friday morning and it was ready early SATURDAY morning. Running perfectly now. That's right, besides doing excellent work very quickly, they are open SATURDAY mornings! How's that for convenience and excellence? UPDATE: We moved to SD from TX but we still return to Lubbock occasionally. We wait to get repairs at Meineke, they are that good. Brakes? Intake gasket repair? Head gasket repair? Electric/security system diagnosis? We have had Meineke do them all. They have always been friendly, honest, expert. Every single employee. Wish all other businesses had the same philosophy. Another great experience September 2026. Replaced struts with OEM product that we purchased online and had them use. They don’t mind using your parts as long as you know what you’re doing when you purchase them.

Great experience with Meineke Car Care Center in Lubbock! My car’s air conditioning wasn’t cooling properly, and they were able to get me in at the last minute, which I really appreciated. They took care of the issue and got my A/C cooling again. I was very satisfied with the service and especially grateful that they were willing to accommodate me on such short notice. Thank you to the team at Meineke for the great customer service! I would definitely recommend them.

Outstanding customer service! I brought my vehicle in and was immediately greeted by a helpful and knowledgeable team. They walked me through the service clearly, did a thorough job, and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need. It is hard to find an honest, reliable auto shop, but this location nails it. 10/10 highly recommend!
