We were driving from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh when the check engine light suddenly came on in our 2015 Honda Odyssey. Since we were far from home, we didn’t want to take any chances, so we decided to stop at the nearest Honda service center. Luckily, we found one about 20 minutes ahead of our route. Unfortunately, they were unable to check our vehicle because we did not have an appointment. They asked us to leave the car over the weekend and suggested that we rent a vehicle. Our situation was complicated because we were about two hours from home and still three hours away from Pittsburgh. Even though Honda advised us not to continue driving, I called several local repair shops and found this Meineke. They were able to inspect our van, diagnose the issue, and get it fixed. They truly saved us during a stressful situation. The entire process went smoothly and professionally from start to finish. I just wanted to share my experience and thank this place for their excellent service and for helping us when we really needed it.
Ted Y,My Toyota Avalon has been running great , then suddenly on Thursday morning heading to work my car engine did not sound great at START or when I was moving from a STOP sign..It was a rattling , rough sound , I said oh no my bank account is going be shredded !! LOL, I was hoping it was not serious. Anyway, the next day, on Friday Randy at Faulkner Toyota checked my engine oil level and did a quick diagnosis and said FLEX pipe is the problem...He referred me to Meineke on PAXTON ST , Scott was great , very personable and professional. Scott showed pictures of the bad FLEX exhaust pipe and what it would cost to replace it.The whole process was very transparent and pricing was very reasonable. I was totally impressed and will definitely be going back for more service. (BTW this was my first time at MEINEKE ) I notice there are other Meineke shops that receive bad reviews for poor service. But MEINEKE on PAXTON ST Harrisburg has restored my trust in auto repair shops, Not all auto repair shops are shady there are some good ones just got to find one that's reasonable and trustworthy. Maybe it's too early to tell if Meineke will be , consistently, good, but so far I'm impressed and highly recommend them..Thanks also to Randy at Faulkner Toyota, he was very transparent, not recommending the more expensive option , and overhaul the exhaust system. Great job Scott and MEINEKE team my car is now quiet when starting engine.
Hugh,Phenomenal service, every person I talked to over the phone & in person was super nice & helpful. I thought my car had totalled itself (spit out a sparkplug so hard it broke the coil & stripped the cylinder threads) but they found a way to get it back up & running! I'm super thankful, as I live almost 3hrs from this shop & didn't know what I was going to do if the car stayed stranded 😅 Highly recommend!
Lance Corvus,I've come here a few times. Never had an issue. I now live across the river, but still rather come here. I love that they inspect the vehicle and send a report describing whats good, needs attention, and needs immediate attention. As oppose to trying to sell you something right on the spot. This time it took a bit longer than the 45min to an hour I heard the one guy tell the lady who had the same appt time as me and her car was done before mine. But other than that, very friendly and professional guys working there.
