Auto Repair & Mechanic Shop in Meridian, ID #4305

I’ve taken my truck to this Meineke several times and have always had a good experience, but my most recent visit really solidified why I trust them. I brought my truck in for an intermittent coolant leak that’s been difficult to diagnose. They spent all day trying to pinpoint it, but because of other issues with my truck, they couldn’t confidently determine the source. Instead of guessing, replacing parts that might fix it, and charging me, they were completely upfront. They told me they didn’t want me throwing money at something they weren’t sure about, gave me recommendations for my next step, and didn’t charge me for any of the time they spent on it. I appreciate that far more than a shop pretending to know what’s wrong just to make a sale. I trust them, and once I get the other issues addressed, I’ll absolutely be bringing my truck back.

I brought my truck in for ball joint replacement, and I figured there would be other issues as well. I typically do my own auto repairs but suspension work is outside my abilities. I could tell they were not trying to upsell me on things I didn't need. Kandis assured me that this was not in their business practice. I can confirm this; due to the fact that they ran into a major unseen issue with seized bolts and hardware (shown to me). Kandis kept me up to date the whole time on the progress of the repair and the 43 saw blades used to cut through the heavy duty bolts in the successful attempt to not damage the good parts of the suspension. They could have charged me the extra many shop hours to perform the extra work, but opted not to as it was not included in the initial estimate. I did however happily pay for the replacement hardware. These solid business practices is what earns my business, and I will be a repeat customer going forward. Thanks guys!

Took my son's car in to get the muffler looked at and repairs estimated. We had another repair shop look at it before and they had said that the muffler needed to be completely replaced even though we'd had that done only 2 years ago by the same shop. Turns out that company was just trying to rip us off. Meineke did a free complete inspection as well as the muffler. Turns out it wasn't the muffler at all. It was the Catalytic Converter. They quoted a very reasonable price and said they could make us an appointment to have it done quickly. We dropped the car off on Friday morning. They actually showed us the part they would be installing. Picked it up Friday afternoon. Again they showed us our old obviously bad one that they had taken off. Great customer service as well. All in all took an Impala that sounded like a Harley gone bad in and they gave us back an Impala that sounded like a kitten's purr. Will definitely use them again.

I went in to get a new battery since my car would start and I knew they would put it in for me. They got me right in and went home. The next morning I went to start my car and it wouldn't start. I called Meineke and they offered me a free tow back to the store. The tow truck driver looked at the battery and one of the battery cables was bad. He jump started my car and I drove back to the store. It was not checked on installing the battery initially. They sent out for the part fir same day. This was memorial day weekend. They gave me a rental car to use while they waited for the part. The part never got delivered and it was 245 they close at three. They waited till 315 and no part. Because it was the long weekend they wouldn't get it till Tuesday it was a Friday. They gave me a rental car to use and my car was ready Tuesday morning. Normally I would be very angry however the lady that helped me at the front desk too excellent car of me. She is the one who got the rental car, no charge on the part or any labor since it was their fault for not catching it the first time. She is just a gem. Please make sure to keep her happy. It would be a huge loss if she left.

I came in to get my front brakes checked because my dealer told me they were at 3mm so I brought my car in, first time, and they checked it in and then Jim (owner) took me in the shop and showed me while he did measurements of each brake pad and none were at 3mm, I saw the proof and therefore believed him, that’s all I needed, this is a shop you can trust!!!
