I broke down on 95 last Friday night, left my car in the rest area and drove to my destination two hours South. On Saturday morning I called Meineke, asked if I could get it towed there, have them fix it, I knew it was linkage between shifter and transmission. Being able to get my car into a shop on a Saturday was huge! They looked it Saturday, ordered the replacement part. On Monday they found they needed a larger replacement part, special order, but could get that sent overnight, arrive Tuesday night, fix it Wednesday. Part arrived earlier on Tuesday, and they fixed it Tuesday. My only wish, was better communication. Since I was staying 2 hours away, a quick call on Tuesday saying part arrived early, starting to work on it, should be done at end of Tuesday would have been nice. We were able to make it up to their shop well before they closed, but we had already made hotel arrangements, so stayed one more night anyway. But totally 5 star service. Just the manager's words on Saturday, something along the lines of "Don't worry, we will take care of you" were the exact words I needed to hear. And they did, repaired right, fair price, and quicker than they estimated when they realized it needed a bigger repair than they first thought. If I lived closer, they would have earned my future service.
Greg is the best when dealing with “weird” issues. We’ve strictly used the Newark location for all our car needs, we don’t even use the dealership. He is also very respectful when working with women, he treats all of his customers with the same respect.
Fellows who helped me were very helpful, informative, totally honest and upfront about what was needed. When I had a problem understanding, I was shown exactly what was needed.
Mario took care of me in what seemed like record time. Most shops close at 5 and I needed a tire plugged. I wasn’t able to get there until after 5 due to work. They took care of me and had me in and out. Very great and friendly service and they helped ease my mind of feeling like a jerk for being a last minute customer. I’d recommend them just on the friendliness alone. It’s great to have a neighborhood garage that helps to keep you on the road when you’re in a pinch.
