Auto Repair & Mechanic Shop in Lewes, DE #1954

Having made an appointment for my oil change, I was greeted when I walked in and my vehicle was quickly taken onto the rack and my service began. I was called up to the desk so that the technician was able to explain a carousing problem with my battery cables. They needed my permission to clean the corrosion from the cables. After that was done, I didn’t have a very long wait and when my Meinke service technician was ringing me up, I was reminded that my tires were 6 years old and though the tread was ok, the tires were dry-rotting. We scheduled and appointment to replace my tires. I could on Meineke to service my vehicle and to make me aware of necessary maintenance.

I was traveling to Delaware from Connecticut, on the way down I had some issues with my oil. During my vacation I brought my car here, being on a tight schedule for my return back from vacation I was worried. When I called they got me in that day for an appointment and my car was done the next day! I made the 7 hour drive home with no issues and felt very confident after the diagnostic Courtney had sent to my phone. Anyone traveling to Rehoboth if you have car troubles this is the place to go!

Update 2: As I stated before I would absolutely bring my car back to this Meineke shop. Well, this rear lift gate was starting to go up very slowly and leaking a lot of fluid. I brought it up to them and they gave me an estimate. I made an appointment right away (I did have to give them a deposit because one of the parts was a special order and very costly.). Anyway, when the park came in they realized that it was a bigger job than they originally thought, but true to their word they stayed very close to the original estimate. They now have me as a customer forever! Update: OK, so I brought my GMC back up for the brake job and new tires. It's always hard to say you happy after having spent nearly $2000, but my car is working better than it has in years. So yes, I'm very happy and I don't feel like I was taken advantage of. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely! Brought two cars up for oil changes. Meineke did their standard inspection of both vehicles. I can’t say I was surprised when one came back needing new tires and brakes. I was planning on getting an estimate for each but figured I’d see what else they’d find. Nothing, they found nothing else. Sometimes repair stations find all kinds of things wrong so they can get extra work but these guys were honest and found nothing else wrong with either car. So I’m happy to bring it back for the new tires and breaks.

A wonderful experience, from start to finish! From the minute I arrived and was welcomed by Courtney who directed me to the coffee/water bar...to checking out with Amber. The waiting area was open, airy, comfortable and welcoming. My car was ready and waiting for me, at the door, once completed. Good news...all was fine, no issues! I was lucky that I talked to Anthony at Lewes Meineke who informed me when I called to get my car to them as possible as I ended up with a massive transmission leak and could have caused more damage if I kept driving the car. Anthony and Amber kept me informed about the progress of getting the parts and when it would be fixed. They worked with my extended warranty so I didn’t have to absorb the whole bill. I can’t say enough about how kind and helpful both Anthony and Amber were. . The staff and mechanics at Meineke are knowledgeable, professional, and take wonderful care of my car and care that they do a great job. I will continue to take my car to them in the future.
