Auto Repair & Mechanic Shop in Fairfield, CT #1013

First, let me say that I'm not one who's easily impressed. Furthermore, I'm also very particular about the work that's performed on my car which recently developed a leak in its exhaust. My process for selecting the shop to perform this repair started with my reading Google reviews for the maby varios muffler shops in my area. Ultimately, I decided to give the the Meineke shop in Fairfield a try based on their MANY positive reviews. It's also important to note that this also meant that I would have to drive a good 30 minutes from my home town to get to this facility, passing many of their nearer competitors believing that obtaining quality work from an honest shop was worth driving the extra distance. So I called and set up an appointment which I subsequently had to reschedule a few times due to health issues. From the very first call to make my initial appointment to the day that I brought my car to their shop, I found everyone that I interacted with to be very friendly and always eager to help and please their customers. My car is an older vehicle and, as such, I went into this situation knowing that I didn't want to spend an exorbitant amount of money for the repair. I communicated this point clearly to the staff and once the car was up on the lift they took me into the service area and carefully pointed out the issues that needed to be addressed. But perhaps the thing that impressed me most was that they were able to salvage part of my exhaust, replacing only what was truly needed instead of trying to sell me an entire front-to-back system. There were even a few little extra fixes that they performed which they didn't charge me for. And when the work was all done, they took the time to bring me back into shop to show me the finished repair which, I might add, was executed flawlessly and with a caring attention to detail that was readily apparent, all of which reinforced my perception that this shop is a well-run facility that truly seems to care about the quality of work they provide to their customers. In fact, as they were showing me the finished repair, I observed the technician, the same one who actually performed the work, spraying a final coat of rust inhibiting sealant on the new metal hangers. it literally looked almost like a work of art. Call me impressed - and grateful. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for an honest auto repair facility.

I’ve been going to this Meineke location for well over 5 years and continue to have a great experience. I especially want to recognize Cesar. He is consistently professional, knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely friendly. He communicates clearly, takes the time to explain what’s going on, and makes the entire process easy and straightforward. It’s obvious that he takes pride in his work and in taking care of customers. I really appreciate Cesar and the team here and will continue bringing my car back.

I love this Auto care shop. I have been a client for the last 5 years. Cesar is a great mechanic and humane person. What I like mostly is that he explains all the details about the car and what is urgently needed. He’s also very patient and treats me with kindness and respect.
