Found my new mechanic! Ever since I bought my 2018 Honda Accord this past July, I had been looking for a new shop to service it. I was unhappy with Houska Motors. I definitely felt unheard and believed that led to the early demise of my Toyota Camry. A couple of weeks ago I found myself in Longmont for work with a little bit of time to spare. It was time for an oil change so I decided to run into Meineke. The shop looked very busy for a Monday afternoon, and I almost turned around when I was greeted warmly by the manager, David. I explained to him that all I needed was an oil change. I live in Fort Collins, but was here on business and had 30+ minutes to spare he immediately said no I’m sorry I need a full hour because part of what I provide is a comprehensive inspection by my master mechanic and I wouldn’t feel right just giving you an oil change without that. I immediately respected his honesty, and I told him that I could give him an hour. He kept me updated throughout the hour so that I knew I wouldn’t miss my next work deadline. David then called me over and asked me to follow him into the shop so he could show me something. No mechanic has ever offered to do that; maybe they assumed that because I’m a woman I wouldn’t know what I was looking at. He showed me my undercarriage and how it was a little damaged and suggested at some point in the future when I wanted to or could afford it I should consider replacing it. There was no hard sell because it wasn’t a safety issue as he put it. He knew I just came in for an oil change. As promised my car was done in plenty of time! He said he’d like the opportunity to be my go to service shop. Although it’s a little bit of a drive, I think I found my new mechanic! He was honest and transparent. He took me into the shop to show me something on my vehicle, which was a first for me. His entire team was professional, friendly and most important of all trustworthy! Lisa Dickson,I travel to Children's Hospital in Denver often and I needed to get an alignment done on the way home to Fort Collins so I decided to stop by Meineke and it was the best choice to get my alignment done because while the tech was in the process of getting the alignment done the manager David took me in to show me personally a few other things they noticed were wrong with my vehicle David took the time to explain what was wrong in a way that I was able to understand he also prioritized which ones were a safety concern so I knew how important it was to get it taken care of I explained to David my financial situation and he was very understanding and rather than push me to get it done in that moment he offered to get the repairs done as soon as I would be able to afford it I will definitely be recommending this shop to friends and family although it's a bit of a drive it's worth getting your vehicle repairs done with someone that is knowledgeable and honest Thank You David and team for all your hard work
