After discovering a coupon online, I decided to visit the nearby Meineke shop for an oil change. I arrived at the scheduled appointment time of 4 PM. The attendant informed me that they were unable to accommodate my appointment due to a high volume of walk-ins. His tone was flippant. I was surprised by this response, as I had anticipated that appointments would be honored. The attendant’s lack of concern was evident, and I felt uncomfortable with the situation. Given that I had taken time off work, I requested a rescheduling. The attendant suggested tomorrow at noon as an alternative time. I agreed and asked to be contacted via phone if any changes occurred. He the asked me to call ahead of time to see if it still was ok. I was wth ??? I just nodded and left. I was shocked by the incident and felt that it was not representative of good customer service. I had never encountered such behavior before, especially from a company that offers appointments. Before I decided to call 800 number to complain.! But I said this can’t be real so I called another nearby Meineke and was pleadsayly surprised! This person was friendly and professional. I explained to Aaron ( I believe he is the manager)the situation, emphasizing that I was not ready to become angry or upset. My intention was to confirm that this was not a company policy and to ensure that I was not the only customer who had experienced this issue. Aaron was apologetic and acknowledged the situation. In response to the unfortunate incident, he offered to do my oil change. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the staff for their exceptional service. This level of attention to detail and customer care is what I value most in a business.. Thanks Aaron and I will return.
