What it Takes to Become a Meineke Franchisee

If you’ve been thinking about going into the auto repair business, becoming a Meineke franchisee may be right up your alley. Even if you’ve never worked in automotive maintenance or don’t know a whole lot about cars, you can still enjoy considerable success as part of the Meineke Car Care family. Being knowledgeable in car repair is certainly helpful in many aspects of life, but when screening prospective franchisees, Meineke is far more concerned with the following qualities.

An Aptitude for Learning

Possessing an aptitude for learning is sure to serve you well in your capacity as a franchise owner. Before your Meineke Car Care Center opens its doors, you’ll be expected to attend a hands-on training course at our company’s North Carolina facilities, where you’ll learn a great deal about automotive maintenance, business management, and customer service. Even after your Meineke Car Care Center is open for business, each day will be rife with valuable learning experiences.

A Keen Eye for New Hires

As a Meineke car repair franchise owner, you’ll have final say for all new hires. To ensure that your store is staffed by the best of the best, you’ll need to ask the right questions and be able to get a good read on interviewees. Some people will knock it out of the park at interviews, but are unable to satisfactorily perform their job duties – and vice versa. Being able to identify which candidates will make welcome additions to you staff is a skill that will help your business’s bottom line.

An Affinity for Customer Service

As the franchisee, the buck stops at your desk. If a client is dissatisfied for any reason, you have the authority to make things right. Being empathetic towards unhappy customers – even the ones who seem impossible to please – can effectively win them back and ensure their continued patronage.

Even if your automotive knowledge is lacking, you may still have the makings of a Meineke Car Care franchisee. While having the experience working with vehicles is definitely a plus, without it you can still join our growing family.
