Auto Repair Reviews for Meineke Shop #1440
They did a great job it felt like I was there for only 20mins but everything looked nice in all the pictures they took.
Top tier service! I followed Craig over from Midas in Gresham. (Nothing against them). But I’ll make the trip anytime knowing I’m in good hands. Craig isn’t just a GM at a car spot, dude cares. He will let you know exactly what’s going on. The best way to fix it. But also if hey have a cheaper alternative. May even find you a discount, if he likes ya. My whole family has been rocking with him since we got here from TX. The techs are solid too, no doubt about that. A good manager won’t have bad techs. They don’t last, if the company wants too.
My husband made an appointment here today for what I was told by him would be a free inspection for our 05 Toyota Sienna. He had work so we agreed I would bring the car in. We had a check engine light come on, I had already gone to AutoZone prior and had them read the codes, which were coming up for a catalytic converter. We were wanting to have the car checked out further and get an estimate for what it needed done. When I arrived no one was in the office, so I waited a few minutes before I went outside to see if I could find someone. When I did I was told it would be $195 for the inspection, that also would not go towards any work done if I decided to have them do the work. I guess things changed because I interrupted lunch or maybe because I'm a woman and it was my husband who had called and was told it would be free? Either way I felt like I was lied to and had my time wasted. I shared for honesty and accountability for who I worked with that day. I wanted to update my review for this Meineke location because Craig (I believe he is the manager) did reach out to my husband and I about our experience. He apologized for what happened as is detailed above. He offered to make it right and do what had originally been offered to us for free, so we accepted. To be honest while I did feel heard and genuinely do feel Craig wanted to make things right, I still was hesitant. Craig was true to his word though and did our inspection for free and gave us some helpful information about what is going on with our van, as well as a fair estimate on the work needed. My husband and I really appreciated how he reached out to make things right. I am leaving the information about what happened originally because I do feel like it's important, as I still had to go back and spend more time dealing with something that should of been done originally. Also to my knowledge the employee I worked with the first time (not Craig) still works there, I was told they are working with him, so I do hope he learns. I don't have any ill feelings towards him, but what happened the first still carries an impact for us. I would likely go there again if I was working with Craig. He was great and very professional and helpful. My husband and I are still deciding on if we will do the work with Meineke or not, it's an expensive job. So we are going to shop around. I just wanted people to know that they did right the wrong the best they could, it is greatly appreciated.
