Last month on a trip from Eureka to Sebastopol, my friend's car lost a tail pipe on the freeway just north of Windsor. While we were waiting for a tow car to respond we telephoned Meineke in Santa Rosa to inquire if they had the right muffler / tail pipe and could they fix it while we waited? They assured us we would be in / out in a short time. The tow truck driver was able to remove the dragging parts, and we were able to drive into Santa Rosa to Meineke. Mr. Chiaravalle met us and inspected the car. My friend had forgotten that her muffler had been replaced at Midas in 1994. Mr. Chiaravalle advised her it was a Midas muffler and asked if she wished to go to Midas for a free replacement. She declined and requested that he do the repairs. At that point, he stated he would honor the Midas guarantee and replace that part free. We couldn't believe our luck in meeting an honest man! Plus one that would willingly go beyond the call of duty. Within one hour, we were on our way, with a new muffler / tailpipe assembly, full of coffee, candy, and a wonderful feeling about our fellow man. We told all the people we met about this "honest man" and how he had helped us.
