WHILE DRIVING THROUGH DUB ON SAT AFTERNOON HEADED TO CASINO .MY WIPER QUIT WORKING.PULLED INTO MEINEKE AS A EMPLOYEE WAS LOCKING THE DOOR FOR THE DAY AND ASKED IF HE COULD LOOK AT MY WIPER .HE TOOK A QUIK LOOK UNLOCKED THE DOOR WENT IN GOT SOME TOOLS AND FIXED MY WIPER .PUT TOOLS AWAY LOCKED DOOR AND SAID THANKS HAVE A GOOD DAY.WHEN ASKED HOW MUCH HE REPLIED NO CHARGE AND GOOD LUCK AT THE CASINO.VERY IMPRESSED AT HIS HONESTY AN CHARACTER.I HOPE HE GETS NOTICED FOR HIS ACTIONS. After taking my vehicle to a Ford/Mercury dealer and being quoted nearly $200.00 and three hours of labor time to fix a broken brake line, I was disgusted with the expense this dealer quoted me in respect to what seemed to be such a simple problem. Needless to say, they didn't service my vehicle. Driving past a few minutes later, I decided to give the guys at Meineke a chance. This was the first opportunity I gave Meineke to service my vehicle, but it certainly won't be the last. The staff was friendly, the shop was comfortable and convenient, and 45 minutes later, I was back on the road with the problem with my brake line fixed. The total bill was about $60.00, and you can imagine how shocked I was about that after hearing what I heard from my dealer. In my industry, as is true in most, the customer relationship determines your company's success. This location's staff not only impressed me with their candid professionalism, but became a place I'd be proud to return to, and furthermore, refer others to for auto service. To the folks at the Dubuque Meineke, thank you. There's a difference between doing a job and earning a customer, and when it's necessary, I look forward to giving you my business again.
